About Solace Digital

Formed in February 2018, Solace Digital Limited provides digital marketing and user experience training, consultancy and operational support to organisations that serve bereaved elders.

Founded by Suraj Shah, with a background in bereavement support and digital marketing, Solace Digital seeks to work with and through organisations that bring relief, support, calm and joy to older people who are persevering through life’s challenging and delicate situations.

Suraj Shah – digital consultant and trainer

Trained in bereavement support and mental wellbeing, as well as cultivating a deep interest in elder care, Suraj brings almost two decades of website development, content management, digital marketing and digital training experience to support organisations that serve those that have faced a significant loss, are struggling with a mental illness or needing support to thrive in later life.

From 2011 to 2017, Suraj was on the Digital and CRM teams at Heathrow Airport (formerly BAA), where he was:

  • managing content on heathrow.com
  • supporting the development of two website transformation projects and the relaunch of the Heathrow mobile app
  • delivering website content management system (CMS) and website analytics training to colleagues across the group of airports
  • supporting digital marketing campaigns
  • driving the delivery of Heathrow’s Single Customer View for enhanced customer service through personalisation
  • championing data protection in readiness for the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)

Prior to Heathrow, Suraj has been in digital, marketing and training related roles at IBM, Chameleon (a digital agency) and Stanmore College, as well as consulting and providing digital marketing services to smaller local businesses and organisations.

Born, brought up and based in Harrow Weald, Suraj also volunteers for local and international organisations, planning and delivering workshops, retreats and conventions for youth development, and facilitates sessions on how to cultivate calm and joy in the midst of turbulence that we all inevitably face, whatever our age.
